Happy Birthday Daddy!!!!

We would like to wish my Dad a Happy Birthday! I hope he had a great day. We wish we could of been with him to help celebrate his birthday. For those of you that are not sure where my dad is, he lives in Rapid City, so we don't get to see him very often. We have included some pictures of us for you Daddy. I hope everybody enjoys them!

Icky Weather

Today, we are having some bad weather. I am not a fan of snow and really don't like it when it makes the roads bad. Dan and I both got off work at 1:00. We had to go to our favorite store or should we say our only store that we go to a lot, which is Wal-Mart! We spend lots of money there. Today, we needed to get milk for Tyler otherwise he would of been a crabby child. While we were there we picked up some other grocery's just in case we are snowed in. We finally got home around 2:30. The interstate was snow packed and icy according to my opinion, but if you ask my husband he would say it wasn't that bad. I have included some pictures of what it looks outside our place.

Snowed In Weekend!

This past weekend we were snowed in, which wasn't fun for me. I don't like to be snowed in. I like to go places or know that I can go somewhere if I wanted to. Dan was suppose to go to a cattle show in Brookings, but couldn't due to the weather. He wasn't a happy camper when he couldn't show. Dan's sister and grandma came for the show on Friday night, but were stuck here until Sunday morning when they were able to go home. All weekend we took naps and played games. I have been fighting some really bad headaches, so that is not fun. That is what we did this last weekend.

Just the other day I was getting ready to go take a shower. Tyler decided he needed to drag his football pillow in the bathroom so he could lay down. When he is sick I also put his pillow by the door way so he can lay down on it. If he wasn't in the same room as me or anybody he will freak out. I just thought it was cute that he thought he needed his pillow in bathroom. I took a picture of it. Lately he has been climbing on everything and not listening at all. I have notice that he is getting taller and is able to reach a lot more things, which I really don't like because I have nowhere to put things. Well, that is all I have for now. I just thought I would fill you in on some things. We live boring lives.

Obsession

Tyler has an obsession with phones especially cell phones. The other day he was playing with my cell phone. I thought it would be a good idea to snap some photos with his favorite thing to play with. Tyler just loves phones. He tries to play with the house phones and then when we leave our cell phone laying where he can reach he grabs it quick. Then he takes off running. I just can't believe how much he has grown. Tonight (Wed) we got his haircut, so he looks handsome. I will post some pictures tomorrow showing his new hair do. Birthday Weekend for my mom!

Well, this last weekend we celebrated my mom's birthday. She was suppose to come on Friday, but the weather caused problems in our plans. I should know better to not make plans with my mom because it never fails that when we have plans it blizzards. My mom's birthday was on Friday, so instead of celebrating on Friday we celebrated on Saturday. We went shopping in Sioux falls and then out for supper. It was a great time! On Sunday we stayed home and rested. Dan worked outside getting his bomber car cleaned and then his air compressor to work. We did have to run to Brooking's to get parts for Dan to fix his air compressor, but that is all we did yesterday.
I wish I could say that we are all healthy, but we aren't if its not Tyler sick its me. I have a cold that is kicking my butt! I was thankful that I didn't have to work today, so that was nice. I can handle a cold, but when my body aches everywhere that is where it sucks. Tyler and I ran some errands and then came home. Today, has been a sleep day for him. It seems like all he has been doing today is sleeping, but that is what he needs. I wish everybody a great week!

Sick Child Again!!

Doctors...... I don't know what to say, sides that there not our favorite people in the world. Tyler had a rough Valentines night. For those of you that read it you would know what I am talking about. Today, Tyler woke up with a fever and not himself. He was very tired and all he wanted to do was sleep or lay around. Dan came home to stay with him and to take him to the doctor again. Remember we were just there on Monday, which he was put on a Nebulizer(spelling off). When Dan took Tyler to the doctor all the tests that he had done when he had Pneumonia were done again along with another chest x-ray. He just had a chest x-ray on Monday. I was told on Monday that his lungs looked good. Dan was told today that he had some fluid on his lungs and that is why he was on the Nebulizer(spelling off). You know I am really not liking doctors. I guess he depends on who you see. We didn't find anything out sides that he has something. He is back on the same medication that he has been the last three times. Whenever Tyler comes off of it he gets sick again. The doctor did mention that it may be the daycare meaning the environment. I guess he is sensitive to whatever is there. Dan and I know that something isn't right because Tyler has never been sick so much until he started going to this daycare, so who knows. Tyler goes back to the doctor in ten days to see if he needs to be on the medication longer. I am including some pictures of him that took today. I did get a smile out of him in one of them. Poor baby he has been through so much and Dan and I are tired of it.

Happy Valentines Day!!

I hope everybody is having a great Valentines Day. My Valentines Day could of been a little better. Tyler still isn't feeling best and is crabby. He played at daycare, but didn't take a nap today. He fell asleep on the way home from Bookings, but when we got home all he did was cry. We ended up laying him down about 6:30 and he actually feel a sleep after fighting. We did give him some Tylenol because I think he is teething and sick with a cold, so who knows what is wrong with him. He woke up screaming about 7:30 and didn't stop crying until about 9:00 tonight. He has been a frustrating night. Dan and I have no idea what was the matter with him. We think he was overly tired. Even after 9:00 he cried here and there. The littlest things would make him break down. He won't even eat. All he wanted was his mommy. He would be fine for two seconds and then he would start crying again. We finally have him in bed and hopefully he sleeps good. I am thinking its going to be a long night. So our Valentines Day wasn't the greatest. I hope everybody had a great day. Weekend Scare!

I know its been awhile since I have posted. We have been really busy with everything going on. This past weekend on Saturday we went back to Dan's parents to weigh in cattle for fair, so his sister can show them. While we were at his parents place we celebrated his grandma's birthday. Dan's brother and his girlfriend just had a baby a month ago and I finally got to hold him. He was in intensive care for awhile and we haven't been back to his parents place for awhile, so it was nice to get to see him and hold him. That night we went out for supper as a family meaning Dan's whole family. After supper we headed back home. Here is a picture that I took on Saturday in the pickup, while we were waiting for Dan to get done with the cattle. I took it with my cell phone, so its not the greatest picture!

On Sunday I woke up to my mom calling me about her boyfriend Ryan. Ryan has had some heart problems and had six By-passes about six months ago. He was having some heart problems and not feeling very well lately, so my mom ended up taking him to the emergency room in Huron Sunday morning and from there he was ambulance to the Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls. So we met my mom at the hospital on Sunday was there most of the day. On Monday he ended up having a Angiogram to see what was causing his problems. We found out that two of his six by-passes have closed shut. The doctor did find the problem area and put a stent in. He is doing a lot better. He came home yesterday (Tuesday).

Tyler and I were at the hospital with my mom all day on Monday. I ended up taking Tyler back into the doctor because he has been coughing really bad and not able to sleep. They ran the same test that they did about a week ago. Thank goodness that he doesn't have Pneumonia again. They weren't sure what he had, but they put him on a nebulizer. He isn't a fan of it or I should say he hates it. I hope he gets better soon. I am so tired of him being sick all the time. (The spelling may be off on some words)

Home Sweet Home!!

Dan is finally home!! Dan has been in Matthew's North Carolina since Tuesday for work. He went to a school to certify him in handicap doors. Tyler and I are glad that he is home. It has been a long week without him. Tyler and I had fun together and he is a mommy's boy most of the time. Tyler has been having problems sleeping at night, but I think its because he doesn't sleep at daycare. So at night he doesn't sleep really at all because he is over tired. So these past few days Tyler and I haven't had much sleep at all. Last night was the worse of them all. He only had a 20 minute nap yesterday, so I am sure that was the reason. Tyler sleeps more during the night if he sleeps a lot during the day. Its Friday and I hope everybody has a wonderful weekend.

Super Bowl Weekend!

Super Bowl weekend was filled with staying home where it was warm. Friday night Tyler and I stayed home while Dan went to a friends house to drop something off. Dan did bring home supper and two movies, so that was nice. On Saturday we had to venture to Sioux Falls because Tyler and I needed our prescription filled. While we were in Sioux Falls we did some quick errands and then came home and stayed in where it was warm.

Super Bowl Sunday was interesting. We were having problems with our furnace, so Dan tired getting a hold of our landlords, which took a long time and he to call one of their daughter-in-law's. Our house was cooling off fast. I was thankful that we had a space heater that my mom gave us awhile back, which helped some. Our furnace was finally fixed right before the super bowl started. We had some friends over to watch the football game, which was nice to have people over for once. I was happy that the Colts won. I wasn't cheering for anybody in particular. Tyler is getting better. I just can't figure out if his medicine is causing him to stay awake more or he is just going through a stage that he constantly cries or wants his mommy. He hasn't been sleeping very well at all. He woke up last night just screaming and he didn't want anybody, but his mommy, which gets frustrating at times. He wouldn't lay back down even with a bottle, so I had to rock him to sleep. I hope everybody has a great week.

Found answers

Yesterday, I had to take Tyler to the doctor because he wasn't feeling very well. After a lot of tests and torture to him we found out that he has bacterial Pneumonia. He had to have the tube suction of his nose, which he hated and made his nose bleed. He had to have his oxygen level checked, which was low. He also had his blood drawn and a chest x-ray. It was a lot of torture that he didn't like. I have never seen a chest x-ray done in a little cubical like a back brace with your arms up, well he hated that and screamed the whole time. I guess they do it that way when the child gets older. Tyler was tested for 3 things, influenza, RSV, and Pneumonia. Since he has a bacterial Pneumonia he was put on medicine, which we were just on this medicine not too long ago. I have seen a difference in him today. He is more active and on his way to feeling better. I am hoping he eats now, because he hasn't ate for like two days. Last night he finally slept more during the night then he has the last two nights. He can't go back to daycare until he has broke his fever and is doing better. Sick Child

Yesterday and Today I have had to stay home with Tyler. Tyler has been fighting a high fever of 104 and problems breathing. I know when there is something wrong when he wants to cuddle and sleep all day on his mom's chest. Tyler is usually playing or getting in to trouble. I have gave him a bath and Tylenol, but nothing is helping, so today we are going to the doctor. I called the doctor yesterday to see if there is something else I could do for him, but there wasn't so I just thought he would be better today, but no. When I gave him a bath today he cried through most of it, so I tried to hurry and get him out of there, but then after I got him out of the bath he was still crying. I think he cried for about 10 minutes straight. He hasn't ate anything for almost two days. He is drinking some, but not much. I just hope that when I go to the doctor they just tell me its a virus, well no duh, but I need something to make him feel better. I have never seen Tyler so out of it and not himself for so long.
