It has been way too long since my last post. We have been busy and I have been forgetting to post.
Well, our new exciting news is that we have now is that our daughter has arrived. She came 3wks early. I had contractions start Sat. Aug. 15 at the fair in Worthington. Dan took me in to Sioux Falls that night, because they were getting worse. They tried to stop them because I was only 36 wks along. If I was 37 wks they would just go ahead and do the c-section that I had scheduled for Sept. 5. So they tried and kept me until Sunday late morning. They did subside, but were still there. They gave me a sleeping pill so I could sleep and I took one Sunday and slept hard. Woke up Monday morning not feeling well. My contractions came back, but were not regular. By 3:00 Monday afternoon they were getting stronger and regular and closer together. When Dan got home at 5:15, he timed them and the doctor said if they are 5 min. apart for 2 hrs then call in and then come in. Mine were 2-3 min. apart just like Sat. They also told me they wouldn't stop it this time. I went in and they tried stopping them again, didn't work. I continued to have them. I was in so much pain. My back and pelvic was killing me. Gave me pain meds, didn't help. So after going through a lot of shots and pills they decided that they will take her by c-section Tuesday morning. Alexa Ann was born at 10:20 weighing 6lbs 10oz. Her health was great. They were worried she would have to be in ICU, but she was healthy and ready to go.
Tyler is so excited to be a big brother. He is doing great for the most part. Alexa is doing great. We didn't get out of the hospital until Friday late afternoon. Wed. morning I came down with an infection. That was very scary feeling. All my symptoms came on so fast and it was a weird feeling. 101.9 fever. So they had to hook me up to the IV to get meds in me to fight it and take lots of blood. To top all of this off they had a really hard time finding my veins for IV or taking blood, so I have so many bruises and hurt from that. It was awful. I had actually 2 IV's in and they were going back and forth. So now that I am home, we are doing good. Its a slow recovery, but doing good. Here are some pictures of our bundle of joy.
